• Percentile ranks are based on comparison to all animals in the Pfizer Animal Genetics database as of March 2011, using the Breed Reference Set as the base referenced in the Rank Population column. For those breeds that have more than 350 animals recorded in the GeneSTAR database, they will have their own Reference Breed and all animals from that breed will be ranked against that Reference Breed. For those breeds that do not have at least 350 animals recorded in the database, their animals will be compared to a Reference Breed Group according to the breed of these animals. If the sample submitted to Pfizer Animal Genetics doesn’t have a Breed provided, then those animals will be compared against a Reference Breed Group containing All Breeds.
